Dear Friend:
I feel very sad for your tragedy. I hope there will be no more earthquakes in Japan and you will live in peace.
All the friends in the "We Care Act" care about you. Be strong and hold on after this is through. I hope you will have a better future. I am going to donate $10 of my allowance to you. I hope you will believe in yourself, stay strong.
Sincerely,
Justin Lenderman, 2nd grade

Times will be challenging and hard but no matter what, it will get better. It just takes time to rebuild, you have a whole community behind you and other people in countries who are praying for you. Please don't ever give up. I am rooting for you.

In our lives we are confronted by various heartbreaking situations and circumstances and like dawn after dusk we need to be strong when we find ourselves in gloomy situations, where the hope of light can't be found, so that our hearts will be brave enough not only to accept the things that has been changed and willing to change the things that can be changed. Nature supports our life and at times strike back mercilessly. And no matter how superior we might be we don't have control over nature. Lives have been lost in different ways and when our loved ones leave us only the suffering one can feel the pain. We may not feel the pain that you all have been experiencing but we certainly feel the sorrow in your eyes and faces and know that you are not alone. Even our hearts have been broken at times and our loved ones left us too. It's our duty to continue loving others as we loved our loved ones to remind ourselves as how much we were loved and what love can do in troublesome times. Love keeps us going, to be strong and make other stronger. You're with us--in our prayers and hearts.

Dear student in Japan,
I am not sure who this is going to so I will just say it is going to you. I am so sorry about what happened. I hope you did not lose anyone. If you did, I know how it feels. My class is trying to raise as much money as possible. I hope you have a house, a school, and lots of friends. I hope you feel better after reading this because I care for you just like everyone that I know.

Xilin Zheng
