How To Help There are many ways to get involved and team up with We Care Act: 1. Joining our team: We invite youth and children around the world to become our New Team Leaders/Members. 2. Raising funds to help students in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, China By donating or raising $230, you can help one student for a year with tuition, books, supplies, and other necessary items. 3. Conducting book drives to send books to students in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, China English is a required subject for middle and high school students in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, China, but there are no English reading materials available to them. We would like to send English books to the students to help them learn/improve English. 4. Raising funds to help Hurricane Ike victims in Galveston, Texas, US. Some schools are still closed due to Hurricane Ike (September 2009) damage, and libraries in other schools are not fully equipped. New reading rugs are needed (~$500 per library) Reading beanbags are needed (~$200 per library) Cash donation or gift cards ($200-$1000) to book vendors (such as Follett) are helpful, so the librarians can buy the newest library quality bound books. 5. We are raising funds to help Haiti earthquake victims and making every effort to let people know that Haiti Needs Help. We invite youth around the world to join us as a A Dosomething.org grant was awarded. Book fair and fundraising activities are planned. Newsletter Eclipse series have been created to communicate with high school students in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, China. |
