Do you remember how it felt when you were young? How it felt to be invincible, like all the world was in front of you? The endless possibilities that lay ahead.

...The students in Japan may have lost that hope.

We Care Act is launching a new project--Letters to Japan, where kids write letters to kids in Japan in order to boost morale and return the hope that's been lost since the earthquake and tsunami that struck the island country on March 11th, 2011. We invite you to send us your handwritten letters or cards through mail and/or submit your letters online below. You are welcome to do both, since we also hope to scan an image of the handwritten letters/cards or type them to make a digital copy.

We are working with individuals and the Consulate-General of Japan in Houston to get the letters to the students in Japan. We were told that high school and middle school students in Japan should be able to read English while elementary students will enjoy cards more. However, we are looking for translators who could help us translate letters from English to Japanese.

Write your letter here. It doesn't have to be very long, and there's no word limit either. Just write from the heart. You may also submit a formatted letter at the upload field below. We suggest you address to: Dear friend. 建议称谓: 亲爱的朋友或日本朋友

In order to inspire more people, we might publish your letter online, be included in a digital copy, and/or print multiple copies to send to multiple students in Japan. Please select YES if you agree, and NO if you would like your letter to be sent to only one student in Japan.

You are welcome to sumit a formatted letter, or scanned card/letter here.
